Day 8
Today had a reasonably slow start. Off to a pronunciation class at 8:30 for 25 minutes. Then we went to la poste, where we got stamps and postcards for some family and classmates. After quick food stop and a short trip to the apartment, we were ready to set out again for a little more sightseeing.
On the way to Maison Des Sancerre, let's just say we were a little reluctant. But once we got there is was amazing. We are talking puzzles and videos, headphones and audio stories. But best of all there was a 4D mini cinema showing the making of the grapes. Complete with water, wind, smells and a small jump scare. About 4 times over later and we were done.
Outside was a big, green, garden. Sitting under a small shelter were three large colourful die. For what else but a life size board game. It had facts and challenges. After a look at the beautiful panorama, Mum went for a taste of the wine (no thanks!).
In French class we learnt about telling the time. For example now is neuf heures moins des quart (quarter to nine). Here is a few photos from today.
Au Revoir,
Holly

ReplyDeleteA big boardgame in the garden. We had to roll the dice. There were little signs with challenges on them like f"ind a mint leaf" or "count back from 20 (in french!)". One sign said "nothing happens..." and there was a sign that said "stay here until someone else lands on your square."
