Day 22
Today we went to three caves. The first cave (Lascaux II) had all these pictures of animals like buffalo, horses and goats. They were drawn 20,000 years ago. I liked that we went into a real cave with lots of pictures on it.
In the second cave (Roque St-Christophe) there was lots to see. People have lived there for 55,000 years. We saw a giant catapault for smashing armies down. We saw their secret safe ( but the door was gone).
At the third cave (Gouffre de Proumessyac) we went to a sound and light show. If you paid an extra 10 euro then one of you would get to be pulled down in the basket through a hole the cave. There was water pouring down. There were stalagmites and stalagtites.
How cool, living back then was a lot of hard work. How good is french icecream, as good as ours?
ReplyDeleteNo it is not the same as the ice cream in New Zealand. It is not as good. But James thinks French ice cream is better.
ReplyDeleteOooh la la I think James has a taste for the French things in life! Love the caves Emma I hope that they weren't too spooky
